SOMERSET BUDGERIGAR SOCIETY
MEMBERS’ YOUNG STOCK & BARHEAD SHOW
The club held a very successful Young Stock & Barhead Show on
Sunday 20 May at Bridgwater Sports and Social Club. The 71 birds benched were judged by Geoff Bowley who was asked to
make allowance for condition and judge the potential of the birds. The main
winners are pictured below. Jim &
Liz Stinchcombe benched an excellent Double Factor Spangle which took the Best
Young Stock award. It was a very long
bird that behaved well while judging took place. The Barhead award was won by the father & son partnership
Brian & Andy Broom. They will take
some stopping in the coming show season as not only did they bench the best
barhead but also many other very good young birds that were a credit to such
new fanciers.
